Housing & Public Transportation

Los Angeles Pierce College (СÀ¶ÊÓƵ) is located in the affluent suburb of Woodland Hills, California. Like most two-year colleges, СÀ¶ÊÓƵ does not have dorms or on-campus housing. Many students live in apartments or home stays near the college.

 is a neighborhood in Los Angeles located in the San Fernando Valley (SFV). Other neighborhoods and cities that surround Woodland Hills include: Calabasas, Canoga Park, Northridge, Reseda, West Hills, and Winnetka. One of the benefits of living in the SFV is that rent and housing expenses can be more affordable than other parts of the Los Angeles Metropolitan area, depending on the neighborhood. Popular attractions like beaches and amusement parks are just a short drive away by car or public transportation.

It is the student's responsibility to find housing. Below are resources to assist you in your housing search. If you are not sure where to live, we advise you to make a reservation at a local motel or hotel before you arrive. Upon arrival, you can research neighborhoods and rentals at your convenience.  

Public Transportation

If you will be taking public transportation while attending СÀ¶ÊÓƵ, visit the to plan your route. The L.A. Metro Orange Line Bus has a stop in front of СÀ¶ÊÓƵ. 

Currently enrolled СÀ¶ÊÓƵ students may qualify for an  which allows students to ride the L.A. Metro System for free (subject to change).

Furnished Student Apartments

provides unfurnished and fully furnished apartments that are located adjacent to (California State University, Northridge), our local 4-year university. Many СÀ¶ÊÓƵ students transfer to CSUN after completing the required courses, so this is also a convenient place to live for students planning to transfer to CSUN. Placement includes up to two students per bedroom through shared housing. Private rooms can also be arranged. Utilities, WIFI and kitchen appliances are also included in the rental rates. The complex also has a gym, pool, laundry facilities and a rooftop terrace.

is shared living which offers move-in ready spaces that range from dorm style pod beds to double occupancy rooms. FWD Vision locations have the necessary amenities, furniture, fast-speed WIFI, and more all set up and ready to go. Residents have access to all common spaces like kitchen, living areas, office, studio spaces and large outdoor areas. The locations closest to СÀ¶ÊÓƵ are the properties in Tarzana, Reseda, and Northridge.

Dorms may include bathroom, living room and kitchen.  WIFI is available for students.  The North Hollywood (NOHO) dormitory is located within walking distance to the N. Hollywood subway & bus station.  It is a 35-minute bus ride to Los Angeles Pierce College and stops directly across the street from the college.

Once you find a rental you like, take a detailed tour of the property in-person and be sure to review the lease or rental agreement before you sign it. The lease or agreement is a legally binding contract that covers topics such as the cost of rent, length of term, deposit, utilities, late fees, etc. If you have any questions, ask the property manager or landlord before you sign any documents or hand over any money. It is beneficial to have a lease or contract in place so that both the tenant and the property manager understand the terms of the living agreement.
