New Student Counseling Group

Group Counseling sessions are for students who have never attended college or university after graduating from high school. Group Counseling provides information about academic planning, student support services, programs, and campus resources. All attendees will meet briefly with a Counselor and receive an abbreviated student educational plan (SEP) for their first semester at Pierce College. Sessions are held online and run about 2 hours, please plan accordingly.

The following items are required to attend a New Student Counseling Group Session: 

  1. Student ID number (900#)
  2. English and Math Placement Results
    • To check results, log into the , click on the ‘Student Status’ tile then ‘Placement Results.’ If there are no results posted, please speak with a Counselor in Express Counseling.
  3. Online Orientation Completion â€‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹
    • ​â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹To complete the orientation, log into the , click on the 'Student Status' tile then 'Orientation.'

IMPORTANT: Students who have completed college courses outside the СÀ¶ÊÓƵ should not attend a NSCG session, instead a counseling appointment is required.
