СÀ¶ÊÓƵ THEATRE OPENS SEASON WITH CLASSIC WHO-DONE-IT MYSTERY AGATHA CHRISTIE’S MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS
Los Angeles Pierce College Theatre will open its 2023-2024 Season on October 27 with Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, adapted for the stage by playwright Ken Ludwig. Performances begin Friday, October 27 and continue for one weekend through Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023 in СÀ¶ÊÓƵ’s Performing Arts Mainstage.
The exotic Orient Express is about to go off the rails! With a train full of suspects and an alibi for each one, it’s the perfect mystery for the famous detective Hercule Poirot! Adapted from Agatha Christie’s masterpiece by two-time Tony-nominated playwright Ken Ludwig (Lend Me a Tenor, Crazy for You), Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express is a funny, fast-paced thrill ride.
СÀ¶ÊÓƵ Theatre’s production is directed by Esdras Toussaint. The cast includes Jack Bernaz as Hercule Poirot, Gavin Benedixen, Melinda Birke, Kevin Boecher, Trevor Bowens, Deniz Boysan, Dylan Coogan, Mason Davis, Farbod Farrokh, Sofia Giraldo, Joshua Gould, Pantea Kiani, Olia Medkova, Fiona Morris, Jennifer Moses, Clyde Sandoval, Jamie Spector, Ali Suliman and Dale Van Slyke.
The production features scenic and lighting design by Michael Gend, costume design by Eileen Gizienski and sound design by Edward Salas. Sasha Santa Cruz is the stage manager.
Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express will open in the Performing Arts Mainstage on the Pierce College campus on Friday, Oct. 27 and continue through Sunday, Oct. 29. Performance times are Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm. Tickets are priced at $15 for students, $18 for seniors and $23 for general admission. Free parking is conveniently located in parking lot #6 on the Pierce College campus (6201 Winnetka Ave., Woodland Hills, CA, 91371), adjacent to the Performing Arts Center.
