Cultivating Careers in Water Efficiency
Pierce part-time Professor Jonathan Ebrahimpour is bringing hands-on learning in plant science to Venice High School students through a dual enrollment class that connects academic theory with real-world applications. Recently certified as a Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper (QWEL), Ebrahimpour is passing on essential skills in sustainable water management to young minds. Not only does this benefit students at Venice High, but with Pierce College now established as a QWEL certifying agent, students across the region can gain practical expertise in eco-friendly landscaping. For those interested in pursuing certification, PLNT SC 828, the Sustainable Water Management class planned for Fall 2025, promises to deepen students' impact on sustainable landscapes.
